About
Engineering Seminars from PDHseminars.com
Many Professional Engineers Prefer a Live,
Interactive Method To Earn Their PDH
Live seminars foster an interaction between students and the
instructors that creates a unique learning experience. The exchange of ideas
and sharing of professional experience can be helpful for engineers regardless
of experience level. Engineers whose primary area of practice is different
that your own can also offer another perspective on issues engineers face daily.
Professional engineers from around the country can use PDHseminars to find
engineering seminars in a city nearby.
Will my state board accept live seminar
credits?
In
a word, yes. Every state that has a PDH requirement will accept credits
earned for attending a live PDH seminar. However, you should check your state
requirements and the content of the seminar closely to verify the seminar
meets the state requirements as well as your personal requirements. Each
of the seminars listed on PDHseminars.com includes a summary of states for which
the PDHseminars iron-clad money-back guarantee applies. If the seminar is
not accepted by your state board, you will receive a full refund of the purchase
price.
Professional engineers licensed in New York are
required to earn a portion of their continuing education credits through live
interactive courses. PDHseminars.com maintains a list of live, interactive
seminars that are guaranteed to be accepted by the New York Board as live,
interactive engineering PDH credit. Generally, any seminar accepted by New
York will be accepted by other state boards provided the seminar topic is not
specific to New York. This is especially important to engineers living in
New York and licensed in other states. If you are a PE licensed in New
York, but living in another state, feel free to contact us for information about
the acceptability of the seminar for New York credit.
How do you find a seminar on
PDHseminars.com?
Selected seminars to be held in the immediate
future are listed on our home page. However, these are not the only
seminars that we offer. A complete list of seminars can be accessed using the navigation
links on the left side of the page. These categories include New
York Approved Seminars, Web-Based Live Seminars (Webinars), and seminars to be
held in each of the next several months. When you click a specific month,
the navigation will change to allow you to narrow your choice by state and then
by city. This allows you to "zoom in" on seminars in your
area. Seminars are added to these lists daily.
How
do the seminar listings work?
The top of the seminar overview page shows the
number of PDH that you will earn by attending the seminar, the cost of the
seminar, and the scheduled date and time. The time for in-person seminars
is shown in local time based on the location of the seminar. If you are
considering a webinar, be sure to check the time zone carefully as you
must be on time to earn PDH credit. Webinar descriptions show the time in
each of the four mainland US time zones.
The seminar overview page also provides you with a
description of the topic, and most will also give you a break down of the day's
agenda. Lunch is generally not included in the cost of seminars.
However, certain seminars may include lunch. Check the seminar description
for information. All seminar facilities have convenient restaurant
facilities either in the same building or nearby.
Seminar reservations can be made using our online
system up to 24-hours prior to the scheduled time. If you are making a
last-minute reservation (the day before the seminar), please call our office at
888.204.8776 to check availability. Specific cancellation policies are
also shown on the seminar overview page. Please note that if you have
chosen to pay by check or money order, payment must be received in our Houston
office before the seminar begins.
PDHseminars.com will email a confirmation
immediately when your reservation has been received. In many cases, the
seminar sponsor may also send you a confirmation email with additional
information.
How do you get your certificate of
completion?
Your certificate of completion will be issued by
the seminar sponsor and mailed to you after the completion of the seminar.
Any questions about the certificate should be addressed to the seminar
provider.
